Results of Night #7

I totally bombed the last challenge. I didn't realize the time so, I didn't remove any common distractions 2hrs before bedtime. I did it 30mins before my bedtime. But I was able to apply all the other challenges oh, except for excercising at night I'm really bad about that.

The results was...First, it took me awhile to get to sleep. It took me about 1-2hrs to get to sleep. I woke up twice in the middle of the night. I have no idea what woke me up or why but I was able to fall back asleep right away. When the alarm went off I felt very tired but I think it has to do with the time change.

Well, I had fun doing these challenges. And I think I will continue to attempt to apply these challenges in my life.

Results of Night #6

I totally failed this challenge because I'm just healing from being sick so I didn't excercise. And I stayed up late watching a movie so, I didn't go to sleep until 12:30am. But I was able to limit my fluids 2hrs before bedtime, I did listen to my soothing music, I avoided snacks, no alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, sugar and grains was consumed, and my room was dark, quiet, and cool.

The results? I did not get up in the middle of the night. I woke up early but felt rested!

Results of Night #5

This night I failed. I think it was because it was Friday and I knew I didn't need to wake up early Saturday. But now I regret making that decision.

First, of all I felt parched so I drank water throughout the night. Then I didn't go to bed at my bedtime. I stayed up watching a movie and talking to a good friend on the phone until 12:30am. I didn't have dinner so I ate a little bit around 9pm. I woke up several times and I have no idea why. Once I did get up to use the restroom. Then I woke up at 6:30am! What was I up so gosh darn early?! lol

So, I got on the computer and did some reading and I got sleepy and since all my children were still asleep I went back to sleep. Then around 8:30am my 4yr old woke me up. Not feeling good today. I feel tired! Ugh! Why do I do these things to myself?! lol...well, hopefully, tonight I will get back on track!

Results of Night #4

So, for night #4 challenge I chose to listen to soothing music. I just put on some soaking/worship music. And it helped me to relax big time.

But I didn't do so well as far as sleeping went. My upstairs neighbors decided to fight at a ungodly hour which lasted for about 2hrs. then my poor sick 18yr. old son kept getting up in the middle of the night. So of course, as a mom I kept getting up with him checking to see if he's ok and if there's anything I can do for him.

So, when the alarm went off I was sooo tired! I can't believe that so much can happen in one night! lol

Results of Night #3

Avoid snacks before bed and stay away from foods high in sugar or grains.

Ok, so this challenge was still pretty easy since I already stay away from foods that's high in sugar. I do eat food with grains but I do not eat any snacks before bedtime.

So, I went to bed at 10pm. And repeated challenges 1 and 2 and added 3. I slept thru the night and was sound asleep. But for some odd reason I woke up at 4:30am. I have no idea why. But it was a little too chilly for me so, I got up, checked the heater. It was on 67 degrees so I put it up to 68. Then I went to the bathroom and had to deal with a clogged toilet. Then I finally went to bed. Needless to say, sleep didn't come easy but it came. Then the alarm went off at 7am and I felt so tired. I did not want to get up. So, I stayed in bed for another 15 mins. before I got up to take my kids to school.

Results of Night #2

Another easy challenge becuz I don't consume any alcohol, caffeine, and/or nicotine. My heater is still at 68 degrees. Kept my room cool, dark, and quiet. I actually slept thru the whole entire night to my surprise. And I woke up at 6am on my own. That's a whole hour before my alarm goes off. And I actually felt rested. Very happy with my results and it was so easy!

Results of Night #1

I kept my room cool, dark, quiet and went to sleep at 10pm. It took me a few mins. to fall asleep. Then I woke up around 11:30pm becuz my oldest son decided to do dishes. Mixed emotions on that. Then around midnight I finally went back to sleep. Woke up once or twice which is an improvement. And I actually woke up before the 7am alarm!
